The Frenchman jumped from a height of 44 meters and broke the world record

Француз прыгнул с высоты 44 метра и побил мировой рекорд

Frenchman Com Girardot jumped into the water from a cliff 44 meters high. At the same time, the speed of the fall reached 106 kilometers per hour. So the athlete set a new world record for “jumps of death”. This is a very dangerous trick, and it cannot be performed without special training.

Girardot made a jump near the city of Aldeaquemada in Spanish Andalusia. Next to the rock is the Simbarra waterfall.

According to the rules, during the jump, you need to group so that the body takes a position similar to the fetal position. Thus, first of all, the legs and arms or knees and elbows come into contact with water. This is necessary to avoid serious injuries.

[Com Girardot, record holder]:
“The jump lasted much longer than I thought. I planned everything – movements and so on. Then, when I completed all the planned movements, there were still 25 meters to the water. So I breathed a sigh of relief. Everything went much better than I expected.”

Girardot’s previous record holders Ken Storns and Lucien Charlon came to support him.

The discipline of death diving, or “jumping of death”, was invented in Norway in the 60s of the last century.
