World Turkish Coffee Day at the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia

On December 5, an event dedicated to “World Turkish Coffee Day” was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia. Sevim Çağla Serim emphasized that Turkish coffee has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List since 2013. World Turkish Coffee Day is celebrated annually on December 5. She spoke about its unique way of cooking and cooking. Its historical path in the Ottoman Empire and its spread throughout Europe were also touched upon.

Serim noted the popularity of coffee in Cyprus. Coffee shops have become an important part of social life.
