Eastern Mediterranean University (DAÜ)
opened an office in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, in order to strengthen its promotion activities.
According to the statement of the Public Relations and Media Department of the DAU, the opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Education of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Nazim Cavusoglu, MP of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Vugar Isgenderov, Chairman of the Azerbaijani-CTSC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Javanshir Feyziyev, Representative of the KCC in Baku Ufuk Turganer, Rector of the DAU Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç, Rector of the European University of Lefke (LAÜ) Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yukselen, founder of the Hedef group of companies Shamil Sadyk, manager of Wotmax Ilhami Bilgen, invited guests and other officials.
The purpose of the office is not only to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, but also to contribute to the development of common educational, scientific and cultural platforms throughout the Turkic world.
It is assumed that the office will become the basis for new joint projects aimed at preserving the common cultural heritage, exchanging knowledge and experience. It will also contribute to strengthening the spirit of mutual understanding, cooperation and solidarity among the youth of the Turkic world.
Kılıç
Rector of DAU Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç stated that the Baku office was opened for a more effective and sustainable implementation of the promotion of the university in Azerbaijan within the framework of the institutional structure.
Kılıç noted, “With the help of this office, we will not only present the educational opportunities and vision of our university, but also create a basis for projects that will unite the youth of the Turkic world around common values.”
He stressed that they are committed to expanding cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture to build stronger bridges between the two countries, adding:
“Eastern Mediterranean University will take a leading position in providing international educational opportunities to Azerbaijani students. In line with our internationalization strategy, we will provide our students not only with academic knowledge, but also with the skills they need to compete in the global job market.”
Kılıç also expressed his gratitude to the Hedef Group of Companies and World Opportunities Trading Ltd. (Wotmax Student) for his contribution to the opening of the office.
