The traditional shadow theater “Karagöz and Hacivat” will delight the audience in Gazimagusa throughout the month of Ramadan. The performance, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, will be presented by actor Izel Seilani. The municipality extended cooperation with the artist by signing the appropriate protocol.
Mayor Süleyman Uluçay noted that the shadow theater has become an integral part of Ramadan traditions and expressed joy at its return. He thanked Izel Seilani and everyone who supported the project by inviting residents to the performance.
Actor Izel Seilani stressed the importance of preserving cultural heritage and passing it on to new generations. He expressed his gratitude to the municipality for its support and is looking forward to performing in different parts of the city.
