President Ersin Tatar met with Turkish Cypriots living in New York at an event organized by businessman Ayhan Hassan in Port Washington.
According to the information provided by the Presidency, Tatar, speaking at the event, said: “Wherever they live, the hearts of Turkish Cypriots beat for the TRNC.”
Tatar also said that he met with the UN Secretary General and outlined the position of the Turkish Cypriot side on Cyprus.
“Every year, when I come to New York on the occasion of the UN General Assembly, I am proud to meet with the Turkish Cypriots living here. I would like to thank Ayhan Hasan for organizing this meeting,” the Tatar president said, adding that many Turkish Cypriots living in New York visit the TRNC at least once a year.
