In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, a mobile platform “TRNC e-Government” was presented, designed to ensure the provision of a wide range of public services in a digital format and contribute to the process of digitalization of public administration.

The presentation took place at the Presidential Residence with the participation of TRNC President Ersin Tatar, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, Chairman of the Republican Assembly Ziya Öztürkler, Prime Minister Ünal Ustel, Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Başçeri, Leader of the opposition Republican Turkish Party Tufan Erhurman, as well as ministers, MPs, mayors and representatives of government agencies. The event began with the performance of the anthem “Istiklal Marshi” and a minute of silence, followed by the demonstration of the official video of the “KKTC E-Devlet” application.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel noted that over the past two years, significant support has been provided to key projects in the fields of health, transport, agriculture, tourism and education within the framework of financial and economic cooperation agreements between Turkey and the TRNC. In particular, 40 new schools have been built and strengthening work has been carried out in 40 more educational institutions. “All investments are aimed at the future of our youth,” the Prime Minister stressed.

TÜRKSAT CEO Ahmet Hamdi Atalay added that the digital transformation of the TRNC has reached an important milestone, with Turkey’s experience and technology integrated into the e-government system. This will allow citizens of the country to receive public services in a modern format – directly, quickly and efficiently.
