The 23rd Olive Festival kicks off today in the picturesque village of Zeytenlik in North Cyprus. It is one of the most significant cultural events in the region, bringing together locals and tourists from all over the world. The festival will last five days, until October 6, and will offer a rich program for all ages.
Guests will enjoy a variety of events: sports competitions, performances by children’s groups, theatrical performances and an exciting mime show. One of the highlights of the festival will be traditional folk dances, as well as concerts by local and foreign artists, which will create an atmosphere of joy and fun.
Particular attention is paid to the fair, where visitors will be able to taste and purchase the island’s best olives, as well as fresh olive oil produced by local farmers. For many festival participants, this fair is not only an opportunity to try the products, but also an opportunity to support the traditional crafts of the region.
The festival will open with a solemn ceremony at 19:00. In the evening, dance shows and concerts will take place.
