On October 16, a seminar dedicated to World Food Day was held in the conference hall of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry (KTSO). The event, organized jointly with the Chamber of Food Engineers, was devoted to the issues of “Food Security – One Health” and “Innovative Approaches in Food Packaging”.
The seminar opened with speeches by Best Oymen, Chairman of the Chamber of Food Engineers, Erçin Tekakpınar, Secretary General of KTSO, Çim Çağıner Kavuklu, Chairman of the Women Entrepreneurs Development Cooperative, and Hüseyin Çavuş, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Two sessions were held during the event. Associate Professor Perihan Adun from the Middle East University gave a presentation on food security, and Professor Zehra Ayhan from Sakarya University spoke about innovations in food packaging. The seminar ended with a Q&A session and a plaque ceremony.
