The 7th NTD International Piano Competition kicked off in New York at the Kaufmann Music Center. 16 participants from nine countries gathered here to show their skills.
Everyone submits two selected works based on the requirements of the competition committee. They should include compositions by classical composers such as Bach and Paganini.
The young participants also showed impressive skills. Wei Wu had recently graduated from high school. He was the only one who dared to play Toccata No7 in G major by Johann Sebastian Bach. He says that he learned a lot by participating in the competition.
In the coming days, a special work will be presented at the competition. This is an adaptation of the work of the artistic director of Shen Yun Performing Arts. Pianists who have made it to the semifinals will have the opportunity to perform it.
The International Piano Competition is one of a series of cultural and artistic events organized by NTD. The purpose of the competitions is to promote traditional art based on true purity, kindness and beauty.
