The 25th International Festival of Culture and Art, organized by the Municipality of Gazimagusa, has started in Famagusta. The opening took place in the evening with a concert of the popular band “Adamlar” within the walls of the Othello fortress. The festival will last until July 15 and will offer the audience a diverse cultural program: concerts, theatrical performances and other events. Mayor Süleyman Uluçay noted the importance of the festival for the city and stressed that for 25 years it has become an integral part of the cultural life of Gazimagusa, contributing to the development of modern festival culture.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Mayor of Gaziantep Hakan Aslanoy, who expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of cultural ties between the cities. Uluçay also said that Gazimagusa and Gaziantep will sign a twinning protocol in September. This year, the festival is supported by KKTC Telsim Vodafone Group as an information sponsor and Arkın Group as a placement partner.
