The Silk and Cocoon Festival in Bellapais has come to an end
The 20th Silk and Cocoon Festival, organized by Girne Metropolitan Municipality in Bellapais Village Square, has come to an end.
According to Girne Metropolitan Municipality, the festival, held in cooperation with the Beylerbey Municipality and the Green World Movement, included lectures on the history of sericulture and silkworm cultivation in Cyprus, workshops on silk cocoon making, poetry and music performances, and live demonstrations on porcelain stoneware and silk cocoon products.
Today, as part of the festival, mulberry seedlings were also planted, and the festival ended with a concert by Yamur Ozeren and Serhat Jandash, which began at 17:45.
