The Champs-Elysées shone with Christmas lights

Елисейские Поля засияли рождественскими огнями

Trees on the Champs-Elysees in Paris turned into sparkling diamonds. Christmas garlands were solemnly lit here. The famous street was temporarily blocked for cars.

In total, 400 trees are decorated with garlands. Now the entire two-kilometer street from the Place de la Concorde to the Place de l’Étoile, where the Arc de Triomphe rises, shines with lights.

Tourist from India:

“Great, wonderful. We come here for the second year in a row to admire the Christmas lights. It’s wonderful.”

Parisian:

“This is a must-see. We are used to the fact that Paris allows us to see magnificent sights of international level.”

Every year, French celebrities participate in the Christmas lights ceremony. Actors, fashion designers and directors had a chance to perform a magical action. This year, the president of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Organizing Committee, Tony Estanguet, pressed the button.

The garlands will burn every evening until midnight, and on Christmas and New Year’s Eve – until the morning. Festive illumination will be removed after January 5.
