Omar Nok, traveler:
“Some people gave me a ride. Once I rode a camel, twice on a horse. I was also riding a motorcycle in the back.”
For Omar, Japan was the farthest point in Asia that could be reached without getting on a plane.
The young man overcame a route of 46 thousand kilometers through several countries. He spent 274 days on the road. At the same time, the flight from Cairo to Tokyo would take 12 hours.
The experienced traveler has previously made long trips to Europe and America. But – nothing like this.
He hitchhiked to the holy city of Mecca, conquered the dunes of Iran, rode through the mountains of Tajikistan and crossed the steppes of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on horseback and camels.
Previously, Omar worked as a financial analyst at Amazon in Germany and Luxembourg. He took the money for the trip from savings. He also saved as much as possible on expenses. I spent an average of about $25 every day. At the same time, he spent only $88 on a trip through Afghanistan.
He says that strangers often helped him.
