Famagusta Metropolitan Municipality continues to actively renew its fleet with the acquisition of 19 new vehicles. Over the past 20 months, 77 vehicles, including several generators, have been purchased as part of the modernization program.
During the last two months, the municipality has successfully completed a tender for the purchase of 19 vehicles and four generators, two of which are equipped with trailers. The total value of the acquisitions amounted to 486 thousand pounds.
As a result of this upgrade, the various units of the municipality received the following vehicles: two double cab pickups, one single-cab pickup, one small truck, four sedans, two generators with trailers, one tractor, two forklifts, one vehicle for transporting the bodies of the deceased and other vehicles necessary for the tasks of municipal services.
It is worth noting that tenders for the purchase of vehicles were announced in Famagusta at the beginning of 2023 and continue to be a priority for the development of urban infrastructure.
