- Nicosia
- Kyrenia
- Famagusta
- Guzelyurt
- Iskele
Questions to determine
Are you looking for a place to live for yourself or for your friends? Do you have a family? Do you have children who go to school or university? Are you a student? Do you like apartment housing or a villa? Do you want to live in close proximity to the sea, or do you prefer the proximity of the mountains? Do you like to live in endless fields? This is a small list of questions. Ask them inside yourself and try to answer them honestly… After all, a comfortable stay in another country will depend on it.
Choose Your Paradise
Many people call North Cyprus a paradise on earth. You will be surprised, but for many it really is… There is no man-made factor and no production that pollutes oxygen. The proximity of the sea and the mountains and the healthy products on the island make this region unique. To better understand North Cyprus, we advise you to read the article Pollution Levels in North Cyprus. The choice of residence depends on your goals and objectives. After all, each region of the TRNC has its own unique atmosphere.
- For example, for families or families with children , the cities of Kyrenia, Iskele, Famagusta and the nearest settlements are best suited. They have the most developed infrastructure. There is proximity to schools and an excellent selection of sandy beaches.
- For students , we would advise Nicosia, Kyrenia, Famagusta, Guzelyurt or Lefke. The most prestigious international universities in the country are located in these areas. Güzelyurt and Lefke also have a lot of flowering gardens and farms. And we see only one disadvantage for students in Nicosia – the remoteness of the city from the sea. But at the same time, a huge plus – just a couple of three kilometers away is the border with Europe (checkpoint with Southern Cyprus). Which makes Nicosia unique.
- For investment in residential or commercial real estate , the best places are: Kyrenia, Iskele or Famagusta. Real estate in these cities has good rental potential. For example, there are a lot of students from different countries of the world living in Famagusta. And there you can easily rent out an apartment for 6 or 12 months in advance. After all, in this city, it is simply customary to rent for a long time, since students rent real estate not monthly, but for the entire academic year.
- If you like a calm and measured lifestyle, then settlements near Kyrenia are ideal for you: Lapta or Karshiyaka. As well as Tatlısu, Çatalköy, Ozanköy, Esentepe or Bahçeli. Or you can even go to the edge of the island to Karpas. It is a peninsula that is a narrow and long strip of land stretching into the Mediterranean Sea. And Karpas ends with the Cape of the Apostle Andrew.
